BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.60 percent in the first half of the day and reached 14,686.64 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 14,686.64 points as of 13:00, an increase of 88.17 points and 0.60 percent compared to the previous closing.
Total transaction volume was 67.9 billion lira. The banking index gained 0.54 percent and the holding index gained 0.15 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that increased the most was informatics with 3.05 percent, and the one that lost the most value was financial leasing factoring with 8.83 percent.
In global markets, although the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the USA was above expectations, risk appetite increased due to the rise in technology stocks, and all eyes turned to the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to be held today.
Domestically, the press conference of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Governor Fatih Karahan regarding the second Inflation Report of the year was in the focus of investors.
Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics in the country and weekly unemployment benefit applications and retail sales in the USA will be followed abroad for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 14,800 and 14,900 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance and 14,600 and 14,500 points are support.
