BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 1.39 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 14,254.53 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 14,254.53 points as of 13:00, an increase of 196.02 points and 1.39 percent compared to the previous close. The total transaction volume was 102 billion lira.
The banking index gained 2.16 percent and the holding index gained 1.25 percent.
Among the sector indices, the highest rise was construction with 3.77 percent, and the biggest loss was textile leather with 0.45 percent.
Risk appetite increased in global markets as hopes increased again that the negotiation process between the USA and Iran could result in an agreement.
In addition, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring Meetings in the USA are also at the center of both the global and domestic agenda.
In this context, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek’s contacts in the USA are also closely monitored by the markets.
Analysts stated that the domestic data agenda was calm for the rest of the day, and that PPI data in the USA would be followed abroad. Technically, 14,400 and 14,500 points in the BIST 100 index were resistance, while 14,100 and 14,000 points were support.
