BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 2.96 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 13,077.58 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, reached 13,077.58 points as of 13:00, an increase of 375.59 points and 2.96 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was determined as 86.3 billion lira. The banking index gained 4.60 percent and the holding index gained 2.3 percent.
While all sector indices increased, mining was the one that gained the most value with 7.15 percent.
Global markets are following a positive trend due to the declining oil prices and increasing risk appetite after US President Donald Trump stated that the war with Iran will end very soon.

According to domestic data, the industrial production index decreased by 2.8 percent on a monthly basis and 1.8 percent on an annual basis in January.
Analysts stated that geopolitical developments and news flow from the Middle East as well as second-hand home sales in the USA will be followed for the rest of the day, and stated that technically, 13,200 and 13,300 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 13,000 and 12,900 points are support.
