President of Defense Industries (SSB) Haluk Görgün announced that the SİPER Product-2 system, which represents a critical stage in Türkiye’s layered air defense capability, has been successfully tested.
Sharing a video of the firing test activity on his social media account, Görgün shared important details about the performance of the system, which plays a critical role at the strategic level.

Emphasizing that SİPER Product-2 has the ability to work in a distributed architecture, Görgün stated that the system successfully destroyed the maneuvering target within the scope of the test. Görgün said:
SIPER 2, a long-range regional air and missile defense system that operates in a distributed architecture and plays a critical role at the strategic level, successfully destroyed the maneuvering target. The SIPER 2 system will play an active role in air and missile defense by operating at a longer range and higher altitude than SiPER 1. We will continue to strengthen the effectiveness and deterrence of our air defense systems, which we see as a matter of national survival, with the most advanced capabilities.
