Russia has the initiative on the front. According to the Ukrainian President Selenskyj, the attackers in the south of the Donetsk area brought up to 100,000 soldiers for a new attack.

The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj warns of another large -scale offensive of the Russian troops in Donbass. The space around Pokrowsk is still the most at risk. “The concentration (on troops) there is up to 100,000, which is what we have this morning,” said Selenskyj from the Interfax Ukraine news agency in a conversation with media representatives.

In any case, the Russian troops prepared a move. But Ukraine is prepared for this, said Selenskyj. He assessed the situation as under control.

Pokrowsk is a mining city in the south of the Donetsk region – it counted around 60,000 inhabitants before the war. After months of siege and constant fire, there are only a few residents left. However, the Russian troops have so far not been able to take the strategically important traffic junction.
