WhatsApp, the most preferred messaging application with more than 2 billion active users worldwide, continues to improve user experience with new updates. The “scheduled message” feature, which the platform operating within Meta works on, is preparing to change the messaging habits of users.
GREAT CONVENIENCE FOR BIRTHDAYS AND SPECIAL DAYS
With the new feature, users will be able to create their messages in advance according to a date and time they specify. Thanks to the feature, which is expected to provide significant convenience especially for those who want to remember days such as birthdays, anniversaries and special celebrations, messages will be automatically delivered to the other party at the selected time.
Users will be able to edit their planned messages later or cancel them if they wish.
IT IS BEING TESTED IN BETA VERSION
The scheduled message feature is currently included in the beta version of WhatsApp with code 26.7.10.72, released on the iOS platform. However, the feature is still under development and there is no official statement about when it will be available to all users.
The new update is expected to increase WhatsApp’s competitiveness against rival messaging applications.
