With the amendment of the regulation carried out by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was compulsory to make all kinds of payments for employees in some professional branches, including journalists, through banks.
The regulation on the amendment of the regulation on the payment of wages, premiums, bonuses and all kinds of fortifications of this nature through banks was published in the Official Gazette dated 4 June 2025 and numbered 32920. According to the regulation in question, the employers who employ at least 3 journalists throughout Turkey, subject to the Law No. 5953, were made compulsory to pay the net amount of all kinds of payment to the journalist they employ during the month after the legal deduction of the legal deductions. Amendment, except for the provisions of the Law No. 5953 and employing people who have the definition of “workers ında in the Labor Law; The number of journalists in the enterprise includes employers with a total of at least 3 workers.
Changes concerning the newspapers in the 5th and 6th categories related to the official advertisement publication and the internet news sites in the 5th category will enter into force on 1 July 2025.
Thus, the payment of wages through the bank will include periodical publications in all categories related to the publication of the official advertisement.
