Güneş made statements to the AA correspondent about the İŞKUR Youth Program, which was introduced with the program attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 4 and started on February 10th.
Stating that the young people they came together on different platforms have deficiencies of work experience, Güneş said that they prepared the İŞKUR Youth Program in order to meet this need.
The program, aiming to provide work experience to university students, to improve their skills and to increase their employability is the active labor force program that transfers the Sun, the program carried out in cooperation with state universities provides financial support to students and said that the work discipline.
Sun, the struggle against young unemployment, pointing out that the country is one of the important agenda items, so far has been made significant progress, 25.3 percent in 2020, the young unemployment rate reduced to 16.3 percent in 2024.
“A service that will reduce unemployment”
Emphasizing that young people are the future of the country, Güneş said, “We see the İŞKUR Youth Program as a service that will provide them with convenience in the entrance to the workforce market in a safe environment, in the universities they study, to gain experience, to reduce young unemployment in the medium and long term.” he said.
The program, 18 years of age, state universities, associate degree, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs can apply to students who can apply to the Sun, for the students living with the family should not exceed the net minimum wage of household income, the students in the dormitory, said that the students are exempted from this condition.
The Sun announced that the students who will be accepted to the program will be determined by the university in the presence of a notary public.

Expressing that the application dates to the program were determined according to the academic calendars of the universities, Güneş said that the application date of each university is different and the applications lasted 5 days.

Stressing that the students included in the program can take part in the areas determined by universities, except for cleaning work, dangerous and very dangerous works, Güneş gave the following information:
“Our students, we think that they will contribute to their development, research-development activities, laboratory studies, support of academic and scientific projects, supporting campus information systems and technological infrastructure, supporting library activities, recycling, sporting and cultural activities, Biological Diversity, Health and Guidance Center Center As you know, we are in the age of twin, as you know, to contribute to the twin transformation age skills.
Sun, 1083 pounds per day to the students participating in the program and students’ general health insurance and occupational accident/occupational disease insurance was done by İŞKUR, he said.
Students can participate in the program at least 1, at most 3 days a week, indicating that the Sun, a student can benefit from the program for a maximum of 140 days, he said.
The Sun added that the students involved in the program are not an obstacle to their work in an insured job.
