An important Putin representative is currently in the USA to speak to the US government. He brought a special gift with him.
An important negotiator of Vladimir Putin brought a special gift for his US interlocutors to negotiations in the USA. On his Telegram channel, Kirill Dmitriev posted a photo of a box of chocolates with Putin’s portrait.
The contents of the boxes, which bear the inscription “Great words from a great man”: twelve chocolate pralines, each decorated with a Putin quote. These are sayings like “Russia’s borders end nowhere” or “Russia fears nothing.” Another wrapping paper reads: “It is God’s job to forgive terrorists. My job is to send them to him.”
“Russia doesn’t get angry, Russia concentrates,” says another quote. A chocolate also says: “If a fight cannot be avoided, it is better to strike first.” Another quote goes: “The fewer teeth you have, the more you like porridge.”
In Russia, the response to this gesture was mixed. “One wonders who in Washington should be impressed by this,” asked TV propagandist Sergei Mardan. Political scientist Marat Bashirov, however, explained: “Our people have succeeded in portraying Trump supporters as psychopaths. In order to negotiate with them, we have to use elements of pop culture.”
Dmitriev said his visit to the US was at the invitation of the United States and had been planned for some time. “Such a dialogue is central for the world,” he emphasized. It must be continued while respecting Russian national interests.
