China’s head of state XI and Kremlin chief Putin have long been in power. A conversation between them with a huge military parade suggests that they want to prevail for much longer.

China’s state and party leader Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin have exchanged the opportunity to significantly extend the lifespan. With the conversation, which is more by chance in front of the military parade, can first be heard, as the translator Putin Xi’s words passed on that people were previously 70 years old and today almost grown as a child. “Thanks to the development of biotechnology, human organs can be constantly transplanted, and people can feel younger and younger and even reach immortality,” said Putin, who is like XI 72 years old.

Xi was not quite as optimistic as Putin. But the Chinese head of state was optimistic about the Kremlin chief that in the foreseeable future there would be a chance to extend the lifespan to 150 years. Then the transmission broke off. XI has been in power since 2013, Putin has been a quarter of a century. Both have changed the constitution in their country in order to be able to rule longer.

Putin later confirmed the chat in his press conference at the end of the four-day China visit. The extension of the lifespan is quite real, he said. At the same time, he indicated that this was probably not an option for the broad masses. One also has to think of the consequences if the number of the olds at some point exceed that of the young, he warned.
