The Law on Amendments to the Soil Conservation and Land Use Law and Certain Laws, which was adopted at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on June 11, came into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

According to the regulation, the acquisition of agricultural land by cooperatives established for agricultural purposes will be subject to ministry permission. Housing and building cooperatives operating for non-agricultural purposes will not be able to acquire agricultural land.

ELECTRICITY-WATER BAN

Electricity, water and natural gas connections and subscriptions will not be established for any structure or facility built on agricultural lands without permission.

Administrative fines per subscriber will be imposed on administrations, institutions and organizations that violate this provision.

ADVERTISING REGULATION FOR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

With the regulation, the advertising ban on alcoholic beverage brands was also expanded. Accordingly, alcoholic beverage companies will not be able to sponsor concerts or events by being represented with a different name, logo or color. The supervision of the alcohol sales ban, which is implemented between 22-06 hours, will be carried out by local administrative authorities.

Images and texts that encourage alcohol will also be removed from workplaces.

In addition to the regulations regarding 2/B lands, the law that came into force also included the Sugar Law, the jurisdiction of the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) and the regulations regarding the shipment of live animals and animal products.
