The former US president has had prostate cancer for a long time. Now new details about his therapy are becoming known.
Former US President Joe Biden is undergoing radiation therapy to fight prostate cancer. Advisor Kelly Scully from Biden’s office confirmed at the request of the German Press Agency: “As part of the treatment for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment.” US media had previously reported on it.
Donald Trump’s 82-year-old predecessor announced that he had cancer in May. According to previous information from his office, it is a more aggressive and advanced but treatable form of the disease.
Biden left office in January – as the oldest president in US history. He originally wanted to run for the Democrats again in the 2024 election. During the election year, misfires and mistakes raised doubts about his physical and mental condition. The discussion about his condition ultimately led Biden to withdraw from the race. His vice president, Kamala Harris, ran instead, losing the election to Republican Donald Trump.
