Türkiye’s total imports of oil and petroleum products decreased by 12.9 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4 million 17 thousand 943 tons.
According to the “June 2026 Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), crude oil imports, which constitute the largest item in Türkiye’s total oil imports, decreased by 9.1 percent and reached 2 million 657 thousand 324 tons.
During this period, imports of diesel types decreased by 24.3 percent and reached 913 thousand 254 tons. The remaining part of imports consisted of aviation and maritime fuels and other products.
Thus, total imports were recorded as 4 million 17 thousand 943 tons in June, decreasing by 12.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
The highest import of crude oil and petroleum products was from Russia with 1 million 519 thousand 116 tons, followed by the USA with 570 thousand 676 tons and Kazakhstan with 464 thousand 22 tons.
Domestic gasoline sales increased by 9.33 percent in June compared to the same month last year, reaching 574 thousand 792 tons. Total petroleum product sales increased by 9.14 percent to 3 million 289 thousand 578 tons, and diesel sales increased by 9.69 percent to 2 million 573 thousand 462 tons.
– Exports in the oil market decreased by 17.2 percent
In the same period, total exports in the oil market decreased by 17.2 percent and reached 1 million 209 thousand 526 tons.
While Türkiye’s marine fuel exports decreased by 34.83 percent to 120 thousand 693 tons, diesel types exports decreased by 18.76 percent to 236 thousand 336 tons.
Aviation fuel exports increased by 3.15 percent to 594 thousand 749 tons, and gasoline types exports decreased by 52.55 percent to 5 thousand 916 tons.
In the same period, total refinery petroleum product production decreased by 1.52 percent to 3 million 405 thousand 560 tons.
Production of aviation fuels decreased by 6.74 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 583 thousand 385 tons, and production of gasoline types increased by 20.04 percent, reaching 521 thousand 961 tons. The production of diesel types increased by 4.89 percent and was recorded as 1 million 472 thousand 566 tons.
