Possible compromise lines are already being explored behind the scenes. According to insiders, US President Donald Trump is placing three conditions on the leadership in Tehran: a complete end to uranium enrichment, a limit on Iran’s missile program and an end to support for allied militias such as Hezbollah in Lebanon. While Tehran officially rejects these demands as an infringement on the country’s sovereignty, government representatives signal a willingness to negotiate, at least in the nuclear dispute.
