US President Donald Trump offered to reduce customs duties to this country from 145 percent to 80 percent before the meeting of Treasury Minister Scott Bessent and his delegation with Chinese officials in Switzerland.
Trump made a statement about the tariff planned to be applied to China from the Truth Social account.
In a statement, Trump referring to Minister Bessent, “80 percent of customs duties to China seems appropriate. Scott Bessent is up.” He said.
The meeting in Switzerland will be the first official face -to -face contact between Trump’s 145 percent customs duty on Chinese goods.
While the US delegation is leading the Treasury Minister Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, HI Lifing, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Relations, will represent the Chinese side.
The reconstruction of the tariffs and trade relations applied in the interviews will be discussed.
