The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will begin to share the results of the “Household Expectations Survey (HBA)” organized to measure households’ expectations on basic economic issues with the public on February 24, 2026.
In the statement made by the bank, it was stated that the survey was started to be implemented in cooperation with TURKSTAT to analyze the public’s inflation, exchange rate, housing prices and investment tendencies more comprehensively.
The results of the first survey will be announced on February 24.
In the statement made by the CBRT
“HBA was designed by the CBRT and started to be implemented in cooperation with TURKSTAT in order to analyze households’ inflation, exchange rate, housing price expectations and investment tendencies more comprehensively.
The survey results will be published on the CBRT website at a monthly frequency as of 10:00 on February 24, 2026, under the title “Statistics/Trend Surveys/Household Expectations Survey”.
With the publication of the HBA, “Household Expectations Survey” data will begin to be used instead of the “Consumer Tendency Survey” for households’ 12-month consumer inflation expectations in the Sectoral Inflation Expectations (SEB) publication, starting from January 2026. Therefore, SEB results for February will be published on 24 February 2026.
In addition, detailed information about the study will be shared in the blog post titled “New Approach to Measurement of Household Expectations: Household Expectations Survey”, which will be published in the Center’s Journal simultaneously with the publication.”
