New Record on CBRT Reserves

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) total reserves, in the week of February 14, increased by 5 billion 660 million dollars to 173 billion 152 million dollars compared to the previous week, except Swap, the net reserve reached the highest level of all time.

The CBRT announced weekly money and bank statistics.

Accordingly, as of February 14, the Central Bank gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 3 billion 748 million dollars to 100 billion 677 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were on February 7, 96 billion 929 million dollars.

In this period, the gold reserves increased by 1 billion 912 million dollars from 70 billion 563 million dollars to 72 billion 475 million dollars.

Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by 5 billion 660 million dollars in the week of February 14, from 167 billion 492 million dollars to 173 billion 152 million dollars.

On the other hand, the Central Bank reserves, which are free from all obligations, also known as SWAP, also broke a record with 71 billion 498 million dollars.
