“You deserve him” – Netanyahu suggests Trump for special honor

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. At the beginning of a dinner together in the White House, he praised Trump’s “striving for peace and security, which they cite in many countries, but now especially in the Middle East”. Trump smiths “at that moment peace, in one country, in one region after another”. Then Netanyahu Trump submitted a letter to the Nobel Prize Committee to nominate the US President for the Peace Prize.

“You deserve it and you should get him,” says the Israeli head of government. “Wow,” replied Trump. “It is very meaningful from them.” The United States is Israel’s most important ally.

With dozens of heavily armed emergency services, mounted officials and armored vehicles, the US border protection authority moved through the Macarthur Park in Los Angeles on Monday morning. US President Donald Trump accused the Brazilian judiciary a “witch hunt” for former head of state Jair Bolsonaro. The Brazilian judiciary should “leave Bolsonaro alone”, Trump said on Monday in his online service Truth Social. The right -wing populist accused the Brazilian judiciary an “attack on a political opponent”.

Bolsonaro, a declared Trump supporter, had lost the presidential election in 2022 against his left-wing rival Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. A week after Lula took office on January 1, 2023, his followers in the capital Brasilia the Congress, the President’s official residence and the Senmain Court and caused serious devastation. The indictment accuses Bolsonaro of having spotted his followers.

Lula rejected Trump’s “interference” in the case. “We are a sovereign country,” said a explanation of the Brazilian president. The legal proceedings will be fair. “Nobody stands above the law.”

Bolsonaro thanked his “friend” Trump for his support. “Thank you for being available and that you are an example of faith and resistance,” said the ex-president in the online service X. He described the trial against himself as “legal absurdity” and “political persecution”. The 70-year-old rejects all the allegations and plans his political comeback in the presidential election in the coming year, although he is not allowed to run until 2030 because of his conviction in another procedure.

US President Donald Trump announces further tariffs: 25 percent are raised on imports from Malaysia and Kazakhstan, to which South Africa 30 percent and 40 percent from Laos and Myanmar. At first there are no statements from the countries mentioned.
