Net profit of 4.6 billion lira from Turkcell in the first quarter of 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, Turkcell achieved consolidated revenue of 68.4 billion lira, an increase of 8.9 percent on an annual basis, and a net profit of 4.6 billion lira, an increase of 14.9 percent.

According to the statement made by the company, Turkcell shared its financial results for the first quarter of 2026.

Continuing its strong and sustainable growth performance, the company’s consolidated revenues increased by 8.9 percent on an annual basis in this period and reached 68.4 billion lira.

Turkcell’s consolidated profit before interest, depreciation and tax (EBITDA) increased by 3.2 percent to 28.3 billion lira, while the EBITDA margin was 41.4 percent. The company’s pre-tax profit increased by 38.8 percent to 11.9 billion lira, and its net profit increased by 14.9 percent to 4.6 billion lira.

POSTPAID SUBSCRIBERS INCREASED BY 661 THOUSAND NET

With its customer-oriented approach, strong infrastructure and innovative offers, Turkcell completed the first quarter of the year with successful results on the Mobile Number Portage (MNT) side. The company’s total mobile subscriber base expanded with a net addition of 655 thousand subscribers, while its postpaid subscriber base continued its steady growth with a net increase of 661 thousand subscribers. The postpaid subscriber rate reached 81 percent with the impact of the company’s “value-oriented growth” strategy.

In addition to rising hardware revenues with the contribution of corporate projects on the Digital Business Services (DBS) side, the company achieved a 21 percent increase in data center and cloud services. This situation brought about a 64 percent annual increase in DBS revenues.

Turkcell became the first and only operator in Türkiye to offer speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second in home internet with Wi-Fi 7 supported Superonline UltraFiber packages in 2026, which it declared as the “Year of Speed”. The company, which achieved a total of 36 thousand net fiber subscriber additions on the fixed side, including buy-sell operations, in the first quarter of the year, increased the number of households covered by its fiber infrastructure by 138 thousand, to a total of 6.5 million, thanks to its ongoing fixed infrastructure investments. The conversion rate to fiber subscribers was 41.8 percent. The share of the company’s fiber subscriber portfolio with speeds of 1000 Mbps and above in total individual fiber subscribers increased to approximately 20 percent.

Operating in the “Techfin” field, Paycell continued to grow above the group average despite the high base effect. Paycell’s revenues increased by 15 percent, driven by the acceleration in POS and mobile payment business lines. Net interest margin at Financell increased by 3.6 points compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 8.3 percent. The total revenue increase of the Techfin segment was 4 percent.

Turkcell’s model, developed with industry stakeholders at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2026) to prevent fraudulent calls originating from abroad, was selected as an exemplary application by the World GSM Association (GSMA). At the same congress, strategic collaborations were also signed for R&D studies on 6G and new generation network technologies.

Turkcell provided a Murabaha syndicated loan of $1 billion in the first quarter to support investments in 5G transformation and new generation connection technologies.

Turkcell also took strategic steps under the heading of sustainability. Finally, in April, the company purchased a solar power plant with a capacity of 12.1 megawatts in Mersin, and its total active solar energy capacity increased to 74.4 megawatts. Turkcell’s total renewable energy capacity reached 99 megawatts.

Turkcell, which received a “Global A” grade in the CDP Climate Change Program, also published its TSRS-compliant 2025 sustainability report.

Turkcell General Manager Ali Taha Koç, whose views were included in the statement, stated that 5G is a historical turning point in Türkiye’s digital transformation journey.

Stating that they have maintained their 32-year technology leadership in a stable line with their strong infrastructure investments and innovative visions, Koç said:

Koç stated that they continue to grow thanks to the interest shown by customers to their strong technological infrastructure and made the following evaluations:

“In the first three months of the year, our total number of subscribers reached 44.5 million and our number of mobile subscribers reached 39.8 million. While our postpaid subscriber base continued its steady growth with a net increase of 661 thousand, our postpaid subscriber rate increased to 81 percent.
