In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that inspections on the stationery sector have been increased throughout the country in order to ensure that students have access to safe products and to protect the economic interests of consumers before the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.
In this context, within the framework of the inspection and guidance studies carried out between 10-14 August, 3 thousand 612 stationery enterprises were visited in 81 provinces. “479 thousand 847 products were examined within the scope of the shelf and case inspections carried out in the enterprises. During the inspections, necessary explanations and warnings were made to a total of 2 thousand 954 stationery enterprises in order to ensure compliance with the legislation and to inform consumers correctly.” The expression was used.
ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS ON 367 BUSINESSES
In the statement, it was stated that administrative sanctions were imposed on 367 businesses that were found to be in violation of the legislation during the 5-day inspection process, and the following was noted:
“As the Ministry of Commerce, we continue our inspections with determination in order to ensure that all our consumers, especially our students and parents, have access to safe products, to protect the market order and to fight effectively against unfair practices. Our inspections for the stationery sector will continue meticulously and uninterruptedly in 81 provinces before the new education period.”
