Minister Işıkhan made a presentation on the 2025 budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Minister Işıkhan stated that the minimum wage is of critical importance only in ensuring social justice and economic growth, and emphasized that, as the Ministry, they make maximum efforts to ensure that the minimum wage is determined in a balanced manner for both employees and employers.
SECOND MEETING ON DECEMBER 16
Reminding that the second meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission will be held on December 16 to determine the minimum wage to be applied next year, Işıkhan continued his words as follows:
“We have strengthened the Minimum Wage Support, which we initiated to increase the income of our workers, where necessary. In the first 9 months of the year, we provided a total of 38 billion liras of minimum wage support to approximately 1.5 million jobs. In the process of determining the minimum wage that will be valid in 2025, we will increase the welfare of our employees and protect the competitiveness of our employers.” “We are working determinedly for a balanced solution. Işıkhan stated that it was decided to give a raise of 6 + 5 percent to public servants and retirees for 2025, and that in case the inflation differences are high, the determination to protect the purchasing power of public servants will continue by adding the difference to the salaries.
