Trump mobilizes the US military domestically. Now register security experts. The military in Washington even cost a President’s job.

The decision of US President Donald Trump, the military and national guard in several US cities is also critically seen in the ranks of American security forces. Russel Honoré, retired US general, who led the efforts in New Orleans after the devastating vertebral storm “Katrina” in 2005, told the newspaper “Washington Post”: that Trump explains that US troops could train for the war in his own cities, “makes me afraid”.

Trump had recently sent security forces to the US capital Washington. Before that, the national guard had moved into Los Angeles. In other cities such as Portland or Chicago, Trump announced an intervention by his own security forces.

Now the opposition Democrats are not only reporting criticism. Military historians and security experts are concerned about the morale of the troops, should they be permanently mobilized in Germany. William Enyart, retired Major General of the National Guard of Illinois and former Democratic Member of the Congress, said the “Washington Post”: “By misusing the national guard for a role for which it is neither trained nor equipped, we only do damage.”

Because of the military approach to cities ruled by Democrats, the US government faces several legal proceedings. “We have to start calling it what it is: Trump’s invasion,” said JB Pritzker, the democratic governor of Illinois.

As early as the 20th century, US President had mobilized the military in Germany. They had not benefited politically. In July 1932, President Herbert Hoover in Washington used the military against veterans of the First World War, which, after the economic crisis in 1929, demanded an early payment promised war bonuses. There was dead and injured. Shortly afterwards Hoover lost the presidential election against Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The use in Washington was led by the young military Dwight D. Eisenhower, Douglas Macarthur and George Patton in 1932. In the Second World War, they were supposed to write history in the fight against the National Socialist injustice regime.

But experts also refer to a different circumstance. The police trained for use in Germany and the military, trained for the war, have different approaches.
