According to the results of household labor research; In March 2025, the number of unemployed people decreased by 65 thousand people to 2 million 807 thousand people in March 2025 compared to the previous month. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.3 points to 7.9 percent. While the unemployment rate was 6.5 percent for men, it was estimated to be 10.6 percent in women.

The employment rate free of seasonal effect was 49.2 percent

The number of employees increased by 391 thousand people in March 2025 compared to the previous month to 32 million 597 thousand people and the employment rate increased by 0.6 points to 49.2 percent. This rate was 66.9 percent for men, while 31.9 percent of women.

The rate of participation in the workforce free from seasonal effect was 53.4 percent
The labor force increased by 325 thousand people in March 2025 compared to the previous month and 35 million 404 thousand people, while the labor force participation rate increased by 0.4 points to 53.4 percent. The labor force participation rate was 71.6 percent for men, while 35.7 percent in women.

The unemployment rate in the young population covering the 15-24 age group increased by 0.1 points compared to the previous month and was 15.1 percent. Unemployment rate in this age group; It was estimated as 11.0 percent for men and 22.6 percent in women.

The average weekly actual working time free of seasons and calendar effects was 43.7 hours
Those who were employed during the reference period, seasonal and calendar effects of those who were in the period of the average weekly actual working time in March 2025 increased by 0.3 hours to 43.7 hours compared to the previous month.

Time -dependent missing employment, potential labor and unemployed idle labor rate increased by 0.3 points in March 2025 compared to the previous month, 28.8 percent.
