China strongly condemns the US attack on Venezuela. “China is deeply shocked by the blatant use of force by the United States against a sovereign state and its president and strongly condemns it,” the state news agency Xinhua quoted a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman as saying. “Such hegemonic actions by the United States seriously violate international law and the sovereignty of Venezuela and threaten peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean,” the spokesman was quoted as saying. The prison is known for its dilapidated condition, unsanitary conditions and unsafe conditions, according to news site Axios.
