Gram gold is traded at 6 thousand 691 liras after starting the day with an increase.

Gram gold, which lost value yesterday in parallel with the decrease in the ounce price, completed the day at 6 thousand 677 liras, with a decrease of 1.86 percent compared to the previous closing.

Today, gram gold, which started with buyers, is traded at 6 thousand 691 lira as of 09.30, with an increase of 0.2 percent compared to the previous closing. At the same time, quarter gold is sold for 10 thousand 975 liras, and Republic gold is sold for 43 thousand 704 liras.

An ounce of gold is at 4 thousand 338 dollars with an increase of 0.1 percent in the same hours.

With the weakening of the predictions that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will increase interest rates and the slight decline in bond interest rates, the limited recovery in the ounce of gold stands out.

The US 10-year bond interest, which approached the highest levels since January 2025 at 4.75 percent yesterday, found balance at 4.69 percent today. The US 30-year bond interest, which reached the highest level since 2007 at 5.34 percent yesterday, has stabilized at 5.27 percent today.

On the other hand, with the end of the ceasefire between Iran and the USA, the renewed security risks regarding the Strait of Hormuz pushed oil prices up.

US President Donald Trump shared a map on his social media account showing the Strait of Hormuz as “US territory”.

At an event he attended on August 14, Trump argued that the US navy implemented a complete blockade in the Strait of Hormuz and said, “After completely defeating Iran, I will soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as US territory.” he said.
