2.10 p.m.: US presidential candidate Kamala Harris wants to make reducing the cost of living for citizens a priority if she wins the election. Harris will take several steps to reduce the “costs for American families” in the first 100 days of her term, the vice president’s campaign team announced. For example, she wants to reduce taxes for the middle class and take action against excessive food prices, excessive property costs and excessive rents.

It is the first time that Harris has made specific statements about her political plans in the event of an election victory over former Republican President Donald Trump. Until now, she has remained vague in her program.

The former president also said of Harris that he “doesn’t have much respect for her intelligence” and that she would be a “terrible president.” Haley had called on Trump on Tuesday to stop the personal attacks on Harris and instead focus on the substantive debate with the Democratic presidential candidate.
