Israel is criticized internationally due to the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Now the army announces a number of measures, including the establishment of auxiliary corridors.

The Israeli army reacts to the violent international criticism of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip with the dropping of relief goods from the air and the facility “Humanitarian Corridore”. The military said that seven pallets with relief goods such as flour, sugar, sugar and food pans that had been made available by international organizations were said at night.

It also agreed to take “humanitarian breaks” in densely populated areas in order to enable UN convoy to secure food and medication. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced such a “break” for this morning. According to the “Times of Israel”, the army did not give a schedule or places for such fire breaks. At the same time, she emphasized that she continued to act against “terrorists” in the areas of application.

The army also announced that he had re -connected a desalination system for the preparation of drinking water in the Gaza Strip to the Israeli power grid. The measures initiated aimed to improve humanitarian aid “and to refute the wrong claim that the Gaza Strip is intentionally starved,” said the military on Telegram.

Since the collapse of a ceasefire in March, only a few relief supplies have reached the sealed coastal area. Israel and the UN accuse each other to hinder the distribution of relief supplies. It was the first time that Israel has dropped relief goods from the air into the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, after previously only allowed to carry out such actions, the “Times of Israel” wrote.

The Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates also announced to X that the drops were “resumed immediately.” However, helpers consider the method to be ineffective because of the relatively small quantities. In addition, people could be injured by the pallets on the ground.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers stopped a ship with propalestinian activists who were traveling with reliefs in the direction of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the “Handala” was prevented from getting into the waters in front of the sealed coastal area. The passengers are safe and would be taken to the Israeli coast. “Unauthorized attempts to break through the blockade are dangerous, illegal and undermined the ongoing humanitarian efforts,” it said.

Most recently, a Freeedom Flotilla ship had tried to get into the Gaza Strip in June. Among other things, the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was on board. This ship was also stopped by the Israeli military. Thunberg was shown a few days later.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently warned of a fatal hunger crisis among the approximately two million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip. Israel denies the risk of a fatal hunger crisis and instead speaks of a campaign by Islamist Hamas. She wanders auxiliary transporters to pay their fighters with money for the captured relief goods. Another problem is that the UN trucks did not pick up and would bring them to people. The UN reject this. They rarely received permission to enter vans.
