The plan of US President Trump to relocate around two million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip met with violent criticism internationally. Israel is still preparing for the implementation.

According to Defense Minister Israel Katz, the Israeli army is to develop a plan for the exit of the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Army radio reports.

With his instructions, Katz reacted to the advance of US President Donald Trump, according to which the Palestinian population is supposed to leave the coastal strip largely destroyed by the war.

Trump had said on Tuesday during a visit to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington that the USA would take possession of the Gaza Strip. All Palestinians living there should be relocated and in particular taken by Egypt and Jordan.

Minister Katz welcomed Trump’s “bold plan”. “You have to allow the residents of Gaza to enjoy the same freedom of departure and migration as in any other place in the world,” said Katz. “The plan will contain the possibility of departure via land passages as well as special regulations for the departure of the sea and the air path.” He accused Islamist Hamas to blackmail money from the people of Gaza by looting humanitarian aid goods and prevent them from leaving.

The Gaza War triggered the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023 in Israel. As a result of the fights, the Gaza Strip is largely destroyed.
