The Israeli army attacked Iran. Explosions were reported from Tehran. The aim of the Iranian nuclear program should be the goal.
Israel attacked Iran on Friday morning. This was confirmed by the Israeli government. The Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz spoke of a preventive blow. Explosions were reported from Tehran, videos on social networks show ascending smoke in several parts of the Iranian capital. Eyewitnesses and state media confirmed loud explosion noises around the metropolis.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called up his security cabinet. Katz has proclaimed a nationwide state of emergency and warned that Iran’s rocket and drone attack could be imminent. In Israel, the sirens are howled nationwide. The airspace in Israel was blocked according to the Ministry of Transport. All flights of the international capital airport were canceled in Tehran.
The Israeli army (IDF) confirmed that it had flown to attacks against the Iranian nuclear program. There were dozens of goals in Iran that are connected to the nuclear program and other military facilities. The operation bears the name “Nation of Lion”. According to the “Times of Israel”, the attacks should take several days.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Tehran of attacks on “US interests or staff”. He said that the United States was not involved in the Israeli blow. Foreign Minister Marco Rubio explained that the top priority of the United States is the protection of one’s own troops and facilities in the region.
Hours earlier, US President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social Network that his entire government was working on a diplomatic solution with Iran. The United States is against an expansion of uranium enrichment in Iran because they fear the construction of atomic bombs. Trump had previously explained that he did not consider an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities to be excluded. “I don’t want to say that he is imminent, but it looks like it is something that could very well happen.”
On Thursday evening, American citizens in the region were called to find out where the next shelters are.
