The plans for taking Gaza are progressing, although Hamas claimed to have a positive respond to a ceasefire proposal. Israel also wants to create new facts in the West Bank.

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the convening of around 60,000 other reservists for taking the city of Gaza. In addition, the reserve service should be extended by around 20,000 other soldiers, his office said.

Israel also approved a highly controversial settlement project in the occupied West Bank, with which the area would actually be divided into a northern and a southern part. This would make a coherent territory more difficult for a future Palestinian state – if not impossible.

A military representative explained that soldiers should be involved in taking the city of Gaza in particular in active military service. Israeli troops are already present in suburbs of the city of Gaza. He called the Al-Saitun and Jabalija district. According to the new convening, up to 130,000 reservists in the Gaza Strip should be in use in total.

It is feared that the offensive will worsen the already catastrophic situation of the civilian population in the sealed -off Gaza Strip, where a total of around two million Palestinians live.

According to the Israeli military plan, the civilians in the city of Gaza – according to estimates around one million people – are to go further in tent quarters in the south of the coastal strip. A representative of the military said that their care with medical help and food should be guaranteed there. Repeated allegations of international aid organizations, Israel systematically blocks the care of the civilian population, the military rejects the military.

In a dramatic incident in the south of the Gaza Strip, more than 15 heavily armed Palestinians attacked a position of the army according to Israeli military. A military representative said they had shot the Israeli soldiers in the area of the city of Chan Junis and used tank defense missiles. Some have entered the post. The troops had returned the fire and, in cooperation with the Air Force, killed ten of the attackers who came from several tunnel shafts.

Israeli media reported that they assumed that they intended to kidnap soldiers. Three soldiers were injured, one of which was difficult, said the army.

The military Hamas arm claimed the attack for itself. “The casham brigades confirm that such operations will last until the crew ends and our people gains freedom,” said the Islamist terrorist organization.

The approval of the city of Gaza was given, although on Monday, according to international intermediaries, Hamas had presented a “positive answer” for a new proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. An official reaction of Israel is expected until the end of the week. According to media reports, the security cabinet should come together on Thursday.

According to the reports, the latest proposal for a ceasefire is an updated version of the previously negotiated proposal of the US specialist Steve Witkoff. This provides for a 60-day break, while the ten living hostages are released in return for Palestinian prisoners. In total there are still 50 hostages in Gaza, of which at least 20 are still alive.
