After Trump’s indirect threat to Iran’s guide, a cleric threatens indirectly. At the same time, Tehran is ready to talk. And what will become of the conversations about a ceasefire in Gaza?

Iran has indirectly threatened to death Donald Trump – but at the same time signaled willingness to negotiate. The Ajatollah Nasser Makarem Schirasi did not call Trump directly by name, but pointed out in a religious statement that threats to Iran’s leader Ali Chamenei would be punished in Islam. Trump had recently said that Chamenei was an easy goal. “We won’t turn it off (kill!), At least not at the moment.” Meanwhile, Iran’s Vice Foreign Minister showed willingness to resume discussions with the United States about his nuclear program, provided Washington does without further attacks.

Ajatollah Makarem Schirasi, who is one of the influential clerics in Iran, said, according to the state news agency Irna, when asked by a believer to Trump in his office in Ghom: “People or regime who attack an Islamic rule or threaten or even threaten their religious leaders are considered” mohareb “(enemies of God).” Therefore, it is a duty of the Muslims to hold this “enemies” into account. The legal scholar explained only Islamic principles, he did not call Trump.

The US President had recently had the Iranian nuclear facilities attack on the side of Israel. At the NATO summit, he then announced new conversations with Iran for this week, but did not give any details. When asked whether he would have Iran’s nuclear facilities bombed again if there were worries about Tehran’s uranium enrichment again, Trump said on Friday: “Sure, without question, absolutely.” Iran shouldn’t have any nuclear weapons. The recent attacks have thrown the nuclear program back by years, Trump confirmed.

The United States would have to rule out further attacks on Iran if you want to resume diplomatic talks, Iran’s deputy Foreign Minister Madschid Tacht-Rawantschi told the British broadcaster BBC. The government of US President Trump informed his country about an intermediary that it wanted to return to negotiations, but referred to “a very important question” of further attacks.

Iran would insist on being able to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, Tacht-Rawantschi told the BBC and rejected allegations that Iran secretly is working on the development of an atomic bomb. His country was excluded “from access to nuclear material” for his research program. “One can talk about the level, you can talk about the capacity, but to say that you shouldn’t have an enrichment, zero enrichment, and if you do not agree, we will bomb you – that is the law of the jungle,” said the deputy Iranian foreign minister.

In the meantime, Iran’s arch enemy Israel indicated a change in priorities in the war against the Islamist Hamas allied with Tehran. Israel’s attacks in Iran opened “far -reaching regional possibilities”, including the liberation of hostages in Gaza, said Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “First of all, we have to free the hostages,” he said according to the media. According to the “Times of Israel”, this was interpreted by domestic media in such a way that Netanyahu is now prioritizing the return of the hostages – especially others like victory over Hamas.
