7:44 p.m.: Since the war began more than a year ago, Israel has reportedly been attacked by a total of around 1,300 drones. These were launched in Lebanon, Gaza Strip, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Iraq, Israeli media report, citing the army. 231 of the unmanned aerial vehicles landed on Israeli territory. The rate of drones intercepted is around 80 percent. According to a report in the Jerusalem Post, the rate for rockets is around 90 percent. Drones killed numerous soldiers and civilians in Israel. 6:09 p.m.: According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stopping Iran’s nuclear program remains the primary goal of his policy. “Stopping the nuclear program was and is our most important concern,” Netanyahu told soldiers. Netanyahu says preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is the ultimate goal he has set for Israel’s armed forces and all security services. 5:58 p.m.: According to the UN children’s fund Unicef, the war in Lebanon is having a devastating impact on the country’s youngest children. Since the beginning of October, at least one child has been killed and ten more injured every day, says Unicef. Thousands of other children are physically unharmed, but suffer from the daily violence and chaos around them. Children across Lebanon are showing alarming signs of emotional and physical exhaustion, it said. They increasingly suffered from anxiety.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 166 children have been killed and 1,168 injured in Lebanon since fighting broke out between Hezbollah and the Israeli military over a year ago.
