Huawei Knowledge Women’s’ Huaweı Cloud Certificate Program, organized in cooperation with Huawei and the Turkish Informatics Association, stands out as an important initiative aiming to make Turkish women competitive in the informatics sector. The program was created in line with the mission of supporting the IT ecosystem of the Turkish Informatics Association and its targets for Huawei’s development of information capabilities.
The training program started on 15 September 2024, where all women who have graduated in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics departments of the universities and graduated after 31 December 2021.
A total of 146 women informatics were given cloud developer training in the program where 315 students applied. At the end of the training, 59 students who successfully passed the exam were entitled to receive a ‘cloud developer certificate’ with a global validity for three years.
The ‘TBD Information Women’ Certificate Ceremony was held on March 14 at the Huawei Türkiye office. ‘Inspiring stories from female leaders’
In the certificate ceremony program; ‘Being a woman in the technology sector’ in order to increase women’s existence in the technology ecosystem, to support equal opportunities in the sector and to promote young talents. In the panel, which was implemented with the theme of ‘Inspiring Stories from Leaders’, the important names of the sector shared their experiences, while solutions to strengthen women’s position in the world of technology were discussed.

In the panel, the successful names of the sector shared their own career journeys and inspiring stories of women’s rise in technology.
In his speech, Esma Dilek, Deputy General Manager of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, emphasized the role and effect of women in the world of technology, “Technology sector is a constantly developing and transforming ecosystem. In this transformation process, women’s active role is not just a matter of equality. It is a big step to consider the opportunities of women, with the determination and passion of success.
Çiğdem Kılıç, Assistant General Manager of Turkey Insurance Information Technologies, said in his assessment, “Technology is one of the most powerful vehicles that equalize opportunities, remove borders and give everyone the chance to progress. While the compass is shaped by the touch of women, the world of technology can only progress to a really sustainable and inclusive future with their presence. ”
