The correct answer averages of the exam were 21 out of 40 for TYT Turkish, 9 out of 20 for TYT Social Sciences, 8 out of 40 for TYT Mathematics, 3.5 out of 20 for TYT Science, 5.5 out of 40 for AYT Mathematics, 1.2 out of 6 for AYT Religion, and 6 out of 40 for AYT Science.irlendi. Preferences will start between July 25 and August 2. Experts say that choices should be made by taking into account personality compatibility and that support should definitely be sought from professionals.
THEY COULDN’T MAKE IT HALF CLEAR
Education Expert İlhan Sevin started his evaluations by explaining what a zero score means; “First of all, it is necessary to explain what a zero score means. It means that 63 thousand 798 candidates could not get a net 0.5 in either the Turkish or mathematics tests in TYT.” Sevin also stated that this table showed that the candidates were deprived of the most basic information as high school graduates, and said, “Unfortunately, 63 thousand candidates could not get a net 0.5 in either the Turkish or mathematics tests in TYT.”He could not even get half a clear result in the Emel Proficiency Test. However,Unfortunately, these candidates can even get into an associate degree or even an undergraduate program. “With the removal of threshold scores, the path to university has also been opened to those with negative net scores. Such a system calls into question the quality of university education,” he said.
THE PICTURE IS NOT PLEASING
Sevin, who said that when the correct averages of the tests are examined, the candidates’ performance is low, continued as follows: “If the net averages are announced, the rates will be lower. In this case, the following picture emerges. What and how do we teach these children from preschool to the end of high school? If this is the conclusion we draw from what is taught, we need to question the education system. “Either we are not providing proper training or the exam has a difficulty level far beyond what is taught.”
SCHOOL VISITS ARE IMPORTANT
Psychologist Özge Öztaşçı stated that it is very important for candidates to choose departments that suit their interests and abilities, and added, “The most important duty of parents is to support and guide their children in this difficult process. Parents need to respect their children’s wishes and allow them to make their own decisions. “At the same time, parents can guide their children to learn about various professions and universities; they can even visit schools with their children during the election period,” he said.

ASK SOMEONE WHO KNOWS
Ertuğrul Tut, Director of Educational Institutions and Guidance Services, drew attention to the fact that the most important question on the minds of candidates is ‘Which profession should I choose?’ and said: “There are many external factors that will bombard candidates with information during this process. This situation sometimes negatively affects the motivation to choose a profession. Instead of the department one has been dreaming of for years, one may be tempted to choose different professions due to distractions or guidance. In this process, I recommend that you seek guidance instead of making choices that will cause unhappiness in your career in the future.”
