Housing sales throughout Türkiye increased by 56.6 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 118 thousand 359. The provinces with the highest number of housing sales were Istanbul with 18 thousand 645, Ankara with 10 thousand 889 and Izmir with 7 thousand 14, while the minimum provinces were held as Ardahan with 37, Tunceli with 75 and Bayburt with 88 respectively.
Housing sales increased by 27.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to 454 thousand 145.
Mortgage sales became 17 thousand 465
Mortgage sales in Türkiye increased by 147.0 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 17 thousand 465. The share of mortgage sales in total housing sales was 14.8 percent. The mortgage sales in January-April period increased by 99.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and became 69 thousand 194.

Foreigners bought 1440 houses
Housing sales to foreigners increased by 13.2 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 440 thousand. In April, the share of housing sales to foreigners in total housing sales was 1.2 percent. The provinces with the highest number of housing sales to foreigners were Istanbul with 529, Antalya with 497 and Mersin with 117 respectively.
