Hakan Saatçioğlu, Chairman of the Professional Hotel Managers Association, said that the tourism season now starts earlier and ends later.

Stating that the tourism season now starts on May 1, Saatçioğlu said, “The season continues until the last week of November. Tourists can swim until the end of November, and the weather is very suitable. The summer season always extends. The lowest occupancy rates are in December, January and February. We are trying to recover these months with sports, health and congress tourism.”

Saatçioğlu stated that they had a good season this year and noted the following:

“Although we are in mid-September, our hotel occupancy continues at 90-95 percent. We are experiencing occupancy like in July and August. According to reservations, it seems that occupancy will continue in October. On the other hand, early reservations for 2025 continue. Early reservations provide serious advantages both domestically and internationally. Early reservation discounts decrease as the date progresses.”

Saatçioğlu stated that especially the domestic market has become accustomed to early bookings in recent years, and drew attention to the fact that there has been an increase of 70 percent in early bookings in some regions and nearly 100 percent in some regions.

Pointing out that those who made early reservations went on holiday at 35% to 45% more affordable prices, Saatçioğlu said, “Those who lost their early reservations had to come at higher prices, especially in July and August.”

“WE EXPECT OCCUPANCY TO CONTINUE UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER”

Calista Luxury Resort Hotel General Manager Ali Kızıldağ stated that their hotel is 90 percent full and that they expect high occupancy rates to continue until the end of October.

Kızıldağ, who stated that September, October and November are now hot, said, “As the seasons shift, our hotel occupancy rates continued. Our guests from different countries, especially Russia, Germany, England, Romania and Hungary, are on vacation. Despite the opening of schools, the domestic market is still continuing. On the other hand, congresses, seminars and dealer meetings have also started.”
