Forensic dentistry, a little-known field in Turkey, came to the fore with the discovery of tooth marks on Narin’s brother’s arm. After the brother Enes Güran, the tooth samples taken from the mother Yüksel Güran were examined. The last detail that emerged regarding the autopsy of the murdered Narin saddened Turkey once again. It was learned that Narin’s tooth sample could not be taken; her teeth were missing.

Speaking on the subject, Cappadocia University Faculty of Dentistry Vice Dean and Assistant Professor Serdar Sütcü stated that in anthropological excavations, the teeth of people who lived many years ago were still there, “The tooth is the most durable tissue, hard as quartz. “It is resistant to 1200 degrees, even if the filling inside melts, the cavity remains. It is not normal for teeth to deform in such a short time,” he said.

Forensic dentist Dr. Serdar Sütcü attributed the deformation of the jaw to the possibility of a blow before death.

“HE MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA”

When we asked about the reasons for the deformation of the teeth, Sütcü said, “This situation may make us think that the jaw may have been deformed and that it has experienced trauma. He may have received a blow before or after death. “When I attended the autopsy of a woman who had been in the water for two months before, I determined that all her teeth were in her mouth,” he said.

DID IT FALL WHILE MOVING?

While it was stated that the front incisors of an 8-year-old child, the first molars and milk teeth come out at the age of 6, Sütcü said, “If the milk teeth are about to fall out or if they are loose, it is normal for them to fall out, they may have fallen out while someone was carrying them. But it is not normal for primary teeth such as canines and molars to fall out.” he said.

Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren said, “Once the body starts to decompose, the teeth in the mouth fall out. You have no chance of taking a sample like a mold from a deformed mouth.”

“THERE IS NO CHANCE TO TAKE A MOLD OF THE TOOTH”

Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren, who was present at Narin’s 9.5 hour autopsy, said, “We are not saying that the teeth are missing, they are there in the mouth, but due to the structure of the mouth, you do not have the chance to take a mold of the teeth. Of course, there are also teeth that have fallen out. “We are talking about a body that remained in a swamp at 45 degrees for 15 days.” He spoke as follows.

“THE MOUTH IS DEFORMED”

Eren continued his statements as follows:

“An x-ray of the mouth structure was obtained from the e-pulse. Apart from this, you cannot get the shape and structure of the mouth from a deformed corpse. When the corpse begins to decompose, the teeth in the mouth fall out. “You don’t have the chance to take a sample like a mold from a deformed mouth. The teeth were of course taken for examination, and the perception is created as if all the teeth were removed.”
