While the intensity of searches for gradual retirement conditions, number of premium days, retirement age, retirement conditions for men and women, early retirement table, Turkish Grand National Assembly retirement proposal, insurance period and retirement news is increasing, there is no official decision indicating that the regulation has come into force or has been passed by the Parliament. Despite this, the expectation to create a gradual system based on age, premium date and insurance period for employees who received insurance between 1999 and 2008 continues.
All eyes are on the proposals and official statements that may be discussed in the Parliament in the coming period.
HAS GRADED RETIREMENT CAME TO THE ASSEMBLY?
The most frequently searched question regarding the gradual retirement regulation was whether the bill became law or not. Let’s point out right away: Gradual retirement has not yet been passed by the Parliament and there is no official decision that has come into force.
While an official legal regulation on the issue has not yet been announced by the government, the opposition wing continues to submit its draft proposals to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
WILL EARLY RETIREMENT BE AVAILABLE, WHEN?
Employees who expect gradual retirement follow the Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission and General Assembly processes closely. It will become clear in the coming days how the opposition’s proposal will be responded to by the ruling party and whether the Ministry of Labor and Social Security will initiate a new study within the scope of the medium-term program.
WILL THE NUMBER OF BONUS DAYS FOR TRADESMEN AND CIVIL SERVANTS DECREASE?
One of the striking headlines in the proposal was the reduction of the number of premium payment days required for retirement for tradesmen and civil servants from 9 thousand to 7 thousand 200. If the regulation is implemented, it is aimed to both shorten the period of access to retirement and reduce the premium burden on employees. This proposal, which came to the fore along with the gradual retirement demand, is among the expectations of citizens who have been paying premiums for many years.
