The folding mechanism also offers an advantage when taking photos: the smartphone can be placed half-opened on a table and thus functions as its own tripod. If you want to take photos of yourself with friends over dinner or have a video call, your hands are free. You can use the outer screen to check whether everyone is in the picture. Samsung also offers a video mode that, according to the manufacturer, prevents shaky recordings. Anyone filming while walking should receive calm, even videos.

According to Samsung, the battery lasts for up to 31 hours of video playback. This means that the device should be able to function without charging even on long days. The case is equipped with a reinforced frame and scratch-resistant glass. If it falls off the table or out of your hand, the robust construction should cushion everyday falls. The device is also protected against immersion in water. Samsung promises software updates over seven years and offers buyers in Germany a free warranty extension from two to three years.
