France confronts the United States ambassador: he had written a fire letter to French President Macron.

The US ambassador to France has accused the French President Emmanuel Macron an “inadequate” commitment to anti-Semitism. In a letter to Macron, which was a copy of the AFP news agency on Sunday, Ambassador Charles Kushner expressed his “deep concern about the dramatic increase in anti -Semitism in France and the insufficient procedure of its government”.

In the evening, the Foreign Ministry in Paris announced that Kushner would be ordered on Monday because of his statements. “The allegations are unacceptable,” said the French Foreign Ministry.

Kushner wrote that in France there is no day passing “on which Jews did not attack on the street, synagogues or schools are smeared or business of Jews”.

In the declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it was said that France “decisively rejects the allegations”. France is “fully committed” in the fight against anti -Semitism. The increase in anti -Semitic incidents in France has been regretted since October 7, 2023.

The statement said that Kushner’s comments violated “against international law” and in particular against the obligation to interfere with diplomatic personnel “not interfere with internal affairs of states”. “In addition, they do not correspond to the quality of transatlantic relationships between France and the United States and the trust that should prevail between allies.”

Real estate entrepreneur Charles Kushner’s prevailed for tax evasion is the father of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump. Kushner’s conviction was repaid by a act of mercy in 2020.

Almost 500,000 Jews live in France, and it is the largest Jewish community in Europe. Since the major attack by the terrorist organization Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the resulting war in the Gaza Strip, the number of anti -Semitic deeds in France and other countries has risen sharply.

On Tuesday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the French President of promoting anti -Semitism with the planned recognition of a Palestinian state. “Her demand for a Palestinian state fueled this anti -Semitic fire,” Netanyahu wrote in a letter to Macron. In view of the “alarming increase” of anti -Semitism and the lack of fighting “, he was concerned” by her government, “added the Israeli head of government. He called Macron to take harder measures against hostility to Jews.

France’s presidential administration reacted to Netanyahu’s statements in sharp words. The accusation of fueling anti-Semitism by recognizing a state of Palestinian is “wrong and hideous,” said the Elysée Palace. The French Republic “always protects the fellow citizens of Jewish faith” and will “always do so”. The current situation requires “seriousness and responsibility instead of generalizations and manipulations,” it said.
