Ex-President Joe Biden has an “aggressive” prostate cancer. But the Democrat is optimistic.
Former US President Joe Biden has been optimistic about his cancer. “Well, the forecast is good. We are working on everything. It is progressing. I feel good,” said the 82-year-old on Friday after an event in the state of Delaware. It was the first public statements of the ex-president since his cancer diagnosis became known.
The office of President Donald Trump’s democratic predecessor had announced on May 18 that bidges suffered from an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer. The cancer had already scattered into the bones. However, he was “hormone -dependent” and therefore probably easy to treat, it said.
“The expectation is that we can defeat this here,” said Biden in Delaware in relation to his illness. The cancer did not sprinkle in the organs. The ex-president added one of the world’s leading surgeons. “We are all optimistic about the diagnosis.”
The announcement of bidens cancer disease had once again raised questions about the health status of the 82-year-old in the United States. In a recently published book, the White House is accused of having hidden bidens bad health during its term. When asked about this, Biden jokingly said on Friday: “I am mentally incompetent and can’t walk.”
He has not regretted that he was originally a candidate for the Democrats in the presidential election last year, he said. Biden’s health was already a topic and area of attack for Trump. After a devastating appearance, Biden handed over the candidacy to a TV duel against Trump to his then Vice President Kamala Harris.
