According to the temporary foreign trade statistics established by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, Türkiye’s total imports in April increased by 12.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was determined as 32 billion 893 million 70 thousand dollars.
5 billion 71 million 704 thousand dollars of this amount, summarized as energy imports “mineral fuels, mineral oils and products obtained from their distillation, bitumen substances, mineral candles” created.
In April last year, this figure was recorded as 5 billion 239 million 580 thousand dollars. Thus, the amount of energy imports decreased by 3.2 percent on an annual basis.
During this period, crude oil imports increased by 5 percent to 2 million 885 thousand 795 tons.
