According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent, the Eastern Black Sea Project (DOKAP), Eastern Anatolia Project (DAP), Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) and Konya Plain Project (KOP) for the 2024-2028 period were approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 7.
While the economic management introduces these plans in meetings organized in various provinces of the country, the Economic Coordination Board (ECK) is gathering in these provinces as a contribution to regional development.
The action plan hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology promotional meetings are held under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat. The introductory meeting of the DAP Action Plan is planned to be held in Erzurum and ECK will be gathered in this province on the same day.
The action plans that will activate the potential of the regions are determined by investments to be realized in these provinces.
In this context, according to the GAP Action Plan introduced in Şanlıurfa, 496 billion pounds will be transferred to 198 projects. With this plan, Adiyaman, Batman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Kilis, Mardin, Siirt, Sanliurfa and Sirnak, including the economies of 9 cities, which will strengthen the economies of the underground and above riches will be commissioned.
In the period of 2003-2024 in the GAP region, approximately 1 trillion 40 billion pounds in public investment is made, while the completion of irrigation investments in the region, the dissemination of smart agricultural practices, tourism-oriented growth and investment environment for the private sector are aimed to improve.
With the program, 70 products will be detected to be converted to investment, 570 thousand people employment and dry agriculture of 1605 dollars added value increase will be provided. In addition, 214 billion pounds of budget irrigation program will be commissioned.
36 new investments will be earned to the region within the scope of two large -scale private sector investments and local development move incentives by 2028.
Industry and aviation will be supported
Konya, Aksaray, Karaman, Niğde, Kırıkkale, Yozgat, Nevşehir and Kırşehir provinces covering the Kop Action Plan, which covers 166 projects about 350 billion pounds will be made.
With these projects, new steps will be taken to make the region more developed, strong and competitive.
The development of production infrastructure in the defense industry and aviation sectors in Konya with R & D, design, innovation, technology-oriented entrepreneurship and branding activities was determined as a priority.
The use of digital technologies and intelligent agricultural practices will be expanded to support added value to increase value in agricultural production.
In order to increase the use of technology in the automotive sub -industry in Aksaray, the cooperation between the private sector and universities will be strengthened. In Karaman, marble processing and value -added food products manufacturing investments will be prioritized.
Pumpkin seed oil in Nevşehir will focus on biogas production in Kırşehir and Niğde and meat products processing activities in Kırşehir. Mineral resources will also be evaluated more in the manufacturing industry. Niğde, Kırşehir, Nevşehir and Yozgat with geothermal potentials will be activated in health tourism.
Yozgat-Kayseri, Kayseri-Aksaray-Konya-Antalya and Konya-Karaman-Mersin high-speed train lines and Yozgat Airport projects will also be put into operation with the transportation network of the region.
Tourism will be increased in the Black Sea
According to the Dokap Action Plan, Artvin, Bayburt, Giresun, Gumushane, Ordu, Rize, Samsun, Tokat, Trabzon, Amasya and Corum consisting of 11 cities for 158 projects 394 billion pounds will be transferred.
Within the scope of the local development move incentive program, 44 new private sector investments of 12 billion pounds will be brought to the region.
Medical, Defense, Machinery and Automotive Side Industry in Samsun, shipbuilding industry sectors in Trabzon will be priority. In Çorum, new initiatives will be encouraged in the machinery and defense industry sectors. Army, Giresun, Rize and Tokat will focus on value -added food products manufacturing investments. The production of grain and feed plants in Bayburt and licensed storage and the evaluation of basalt and feldspar potential in Gümüşhane will be supported.
With the plan, the presence of irrigable agricultural land of the region in 2028 is aimed to increase the number of 3 million 800 thousand decares and the number of ponds from 289 to 309. With 17 projects to be carried out, the agricultural product of the region will rise from 130 billion to 209 billion pounds, the breeding pasture area will rise from 2.8 million decares to 3.5 million decares. Honey production will be increased from 26 thousand tons to 31 thousand 500 tons.
In the 5 -year period, 30.3 billion pounds will be transferred to the region in the field of tourism. The number of tourists will be increased from 2.8 million to 4.5 million.
