In the past few weeks, speculation has been speculated on the state of health of the US president. Now the White House is sharing a diagnosis.

Donald Trump is sick. After speculation about his health, a chronic venous insufficiency was diagnosed with the US President-i.e. a disease of the leg veins. The White House officially confirmed this on Thursday.

The president noticed “light swelling” in the lower area of his legs, which is why he was thoroughly examined as a precaution, said government spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt in the White House. She emphasized: “The President is still in the best of health, which you can all experience here every day”

Previously, Trump had noticed a slight swelling of his lower legs and then had it examined. The diagnosis was made in the context of routine medical examinations.

According to Leavitt, it is a “benign and frequent illness, especially in people over 70 years”. Trump is 79 years old. A deep venous thrombosis or arterial diseases have not been determined. The heart is structurally and functionally unobtrusive. Kidney values and laboratory results were also in the normal range, it was said to be the health of Donald Trump.

The chronic venous insufficiency is medically considered harmless, but can lead to complaints such as swelling, feeling of difficulty or varicose veins. It is common in older people and is usually medication or easy to treat with support stockings.

The reason for the announcement of Donald Trump’s disease was speculation about current pictures of the president, where bruises were seen on his hands and swollen ankles. Leavitt said this was a harmless reaction of the soft tissue as a result of frequent shaking hands. Trump also takes the blood-thinner aspirin for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

“In terms of transparency, the President asked me to provide them with a message from his doctor today,” said Leavitt. How exactly the vein insufficiency should be treated remained open at first.

Trump was in April for the first annual medical examination of his new term as president in a military hospital near Washington. “I never felt better, but still, these things have to be done,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
