Trump goes on a tirade at the start of the July 4th spectacle

At Mount Rushmore, Donald Trump struck a sharp tone shortly before July 4th. The US President sees the country under threat from communists.
On the eve of US Independence Day, President Donald Trump against the left wing of the opposition Democrats and spoke of a “communist threat” also posed by immigrants. In a speech at Mount Rushmore on Friday, he called on Americans to defend freedoms in the spirit of the founding fathers of the United States. “There is currently a resurgence of the communist threat in our country,” Trump claimed. This also includes “newcomers” whose ideas contradict the American way of life and the country’s success. “We will not allow this,” he emphasized.
Left-wing Democratic candidates have recently recorded a number of primary election successes, including in new York City, Colorado and Texas. Trump has been making similar statements on the topic for days, but on Friday he made more sharp and detailed statements than ever before.
Trump blames alleged communists
During his speech at the symbolic location, he combined his warnings against communism with his critical position against immigration, which gained him support during the election campaign.
“As we approach this great anniversary, we see our American identity once again under attack,” Trump said in front of the monument with rock-carved portraits of former Presidents George WashingtonThomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. In recent years there has been an “undeniable attempt” to highlight the “extraordinary character of the USA “to change” and “to alienate Americans from their history.”

“Republicans won’t lose another election for 100 years.”
America will never be a communist country, declared Trump. Immediately afterwards, he moved on to midterm elections in November, in which Trump’s Republicans must fear for their majority in at least one of the two chambers of Congress. “We can only lose the election if we allow ourselves to lose it,” Trump said. If the Save America Act is passed, “Republicans will not lose an election for 100 years,” Trump said.
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act requires voters to provide documentary evidence of U.S. citizenship when registering and to show photo ID when voting.
