The dollar started Wednesday with an increase of 0.11 percent. The weekly increase was 0.39 percent.

In October, inflation was 2.58 percent monthly and 29.77 percent annually. Food and energy prices were effective in the increase. The monthly contribution of food and non-alcoholic beverages was 0.84 percent. Clothing and Shoes ranked second with 0.82 percent.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that increasing energy prices due to geopolitical risks interrupted disinflation.

Şimşek said that disinflation will continue where it left off in the coming period with the decrease in inflation expectations and the expectation of a decrease in energy prices.

Concrete steps are being taken following the changes in managers and presidents in institutions following the fund crisis. BIST30 shares held by funds liquidated in Borsa Istanbul will be sold off-trade on the stock exchange and closing figures will be taken as basis. BIST30 shares sold from the funds will not be sold for 3 months.

Borsa Istanbul continued its rise for the second day. Oil prices, which decreased by 8 percent, were effective in the rise of Borsa Istanbul.

There are intense sales in global markets, led by chip stocks. Sales were affected by the US elections. According to tentative results, Democrats won the majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Investors who thought the Democrats’ victory meant more regulation in the artificial intelligence sector went on to sell chip stocks! In Asia, the Japanese stock market lost nearly 3 percent of its value. US futures contracts also fell.

While the DXY Index, which measures the strength of the dollar against other currencies, decreased by 0.36 percent, oil prices fell to 104 dollars. It is expected that Trump will have a more moderate approach to Iran after his defeat.
