Dead and injured in attack in Pakistan

Last weekend there was heavy fighting in the southwest of Pakistan with dozens dead. Now an attack is happening near the capital.
Numerous victims are feared after an attack in Pakistan during Friday prayers. Dozens of people were killed or wounded, a police spokesman told the German Press Agency. Accordingly, it was a suicide attack on a Shiite community center in a suburb of the Pakistani capital Islamabad. Further details were initially not known.
A state of emergency was declared in a clinic in Islamabad, as the Pakistani newspaper “Dawn” reported.
In recent years there has been an increase in violence and attacks in the nuclear power Pakistan with its more than 240 million inhabitants. Last weekend, dozens of people were killed in fighting between security forces and suspected terrorists at various locations in the troubled Baluchistan province.
