According to a report published by Forbes, Apple’s latest update eliminates a gap that targets the “accessibility” feature.
Cyber attackers who benefit from this deficit can remotely disable the USB restriction mode on an iPhone with an open lock.
This security weakness was detected by The Citizen Lab expert Bill Marczak from the Munk School at the University of Toronto.
It was stated that the use of the deficit poses a huge threat and risks the security of user data.
How does it work open?
Apple’s USB restriction mode with iOS 11.4.1 is designed to prevent unauthorized USB from connecting to a locked device.
This measure was developed to prevent devices such as Graykey used by legal authorities and judicial information experts from accessing iPhones.
However, these newly discovered clear, advanced cyber attackers allow them to overcome this measure.
