In the statement made by RK, it was stated that concerns that competition in the market may be restricted were resolved with the commitments offered by A101.
Accordingly, in regions where competitive concerns are detected, a total of 48 stores, 10 of which belong to A101 and 38 of which belong to Carrefour, will be disposed of. The two companies will operate with separate organizational structures. Carrefour’s independent structure will be preserved. The total number of employees of A101 and Carrefour will remain as it is for three years.
Sabancı Holding, the main partners of Carrefoursa, one of Türkiye’s largest organized retailers, and the French Carrefour announced in April that they had agreed to sell their entire 89.3 percent share in the company’s capital to Yeni Mağazacılık, owned by the Aydın family, owner of A101 markets. In the statement, it was stated that Carrefoursa’s company value for the sale was determined as 325 million dollars.
