YouTube, the world’s largest video platform, has been experiencing a remarkable problem lately. A large number of users are reporting that comments and even description sections cannot be displayed on videos. Moreover, the findings indicate that this may be a conscious practice rather than a technical error. The issue in question was shared by users on the social media application Reddit and X.

In the last few days, many users in the YouTube community on Reddit have stated that they have encountered a “Comments are closed” warning under the videos. According to the posts, this situation is not limited to single videos, but is seen in a wide range of content. Dozens of users have confirmed that they are experiencing the same issue, indicating that the problem is widespread.

The problem is not just limited to comments. Some users state that video descriptions are also hidden. Similar complaints are expressed on X as well as Reddit.

For some users, the access barrier is not limited to comments only. There are also reports that video descriptions cannot be viewed. Posts on the subject are seen not only on Reddit but also on X.

Complaints may also include Premium subscribers who use ad blockers. This situation also creates significant dissatisfaction for paid users.

Common ground: Use of ad blockers

According to user feedback, the common factor in the majority of cases is ad-blocking software. It is stated that users who skip or block ads face these limitations.

People using the browser developed by Brave Software, known for its built-in ad and tracker blocking features, are also reporting that they are experiencing similar problems.
